The two young standard poodles are doing well. They have been diagnosed with sarcoptic mange which will be completely eliminated with treatment.  They are resting quietly together in our vet's boarding clinic in the cool comfortable air-conditioning, something I doubt they have ever known before.  They have had their first treatment and a medicated bath to soothe their inflamed skins.  .

Two Standard Poodles in desperate conditon

Mid-Atlantic Poodle Rescue recently took in two Standard Poodles in the worst condition anyone has seen in a long time. When we picked them up, they were covered in fleas and clearly had some kind of a horrible skin condition. They were so underweight their ribs, hip bones and backbones stuck out of their bodies.  But they have the sweetest, most loving personalities.  Watch this space for updates on their condition and progress as they improve.
